Teal Steal!

You can imagine my excitement when I discovered this little gem of a steal at my

favorite Texas Thrift in town. Had initially went in for a grandpa cardigan and 

found so much more with this shirt! The teal stripes definitely make it stand out 

with my total look. It also has a great design enhancement with the right side of

the shirt going the opposite way of the other stripes. This made it more unique!

Holy Stripes!

'Nun chic' was the look I was going for when I stumbled upon this awesome

black & white striped button down shirt. I was on one of my random Goodwill

 visits.  As I was digging through the 'abyss'.....there it was! My eyes lit up and I

immediately yanked it from the rack. Definitely one of the most treasured pieces I

added to my closet. Paired it with my favorite cross necklace and cutesy gold heart

watch I treated myself to on my b-day.

Oh hello, 2012!

Happy New Year!

So as I look back on the previous year, I cannot complain about what
I went thru and what I accomplished/learned. I know that 2012 will have some
amazing adventures for me to experience. I definitely welcome them whole-heartedly.
I am thankful for the people I have in my life, even though at times there is the occasional
bicker, I still know that they are in my life for a reason. So no worries there.

Wisdom words

Remember to always live for the PRESENT because that is our 'gift.' Stop stressing
over the past and worrying about the future not going your way. And never ever be
envious of what others have, because your time will definitely come and it will be the most
wonderful thing in the world. Enjoy your life now and always say all the things you need
to say and show love to the people who mean most to you. Cause once you lose that chance,
you may never be able to get it back again. If you love someone, tell them, show them,
everyday if you can. Sometimes that's all the other person needs to make them happy.
Give someone a hug who needs it or a shoulder to cry on. Listen to them with your heart
cause one day, when you need it, they will definitely return the favor. Keep your morals in
tact and stand up for what you believe in no matter what people think of your choices.
In the end, they should respect you for that.
